My coworker and I were trading book recommendations when she dropped a bomb on me … “Have you heard of Stuff Your Kindle Day?” I hadn’t but in that moment I knew I wanted to.
Stuff Your Kindle Day is an unofficial promotion where select Authors coordinate to offer ebooks for FREE! Stuff Your Kindle Day (from here on out referred to as ‘SYKD’) happens four times a year and is a great opportunity to load up on future reads, save money, and find new authors! Most blogs or resources you find online mention that SYKD is primarily hosted by romance authors, but I was able to find – what I am assuming will be – a great selection of thrillers.
Here’s my list:
- Message in the Bones, Dawn Merriman | Three words: psychic, suspense, murder. Sold!
- Run for Your Life, C. M. Sutter | The creepy cabin on the cover.
- Emmaline Waters This is Your Life, Maggie Bloom | I had to get at least one romance since that’s the genre of the day. I liked the cover art and it sounds dreamy, like I think I want her life already.
- To Have and To Hold The Wife Book 1, M.L. Roberts | The blood on the cover.
- Caffeine Before Curses, Christine Pope | A mantra to live by.
- Forget Me Not, Kristen Middleton | The cover. Nothing more, nothing less.
- Girl Alone, Blake Pierce | This one seems to be a crime novel. We love a good crime novel.
- What Lies Beneath, Adam Croft | Crime
- Blood in the Bayou, C.M. Sutter | I was on the fence about this one for some reason but really it was free to we have to give it a chance.
- Let Her Go, Blake Pierce | This author must know me. I’m target audience.
- Watch Her Vanish, Ellery Kane | You can’t say no to a book with spooky woods on the cover.
- Once He Sees, Molly Black | See comment above.
- Death is in the Details, Heather Sunseri | The title caught my attention.
- 20 Minutes Earlier, Daniel Hurst | I didn’t read the description. In my head this book is about a person who is in a time loop and has 20 minutes to stop something terrible from happening.
- The Life She Wants, J. M. Hewitt | Could be a thriller + romance combo based on that title.
- The Things You Find in Rockpools, Gregg Dunnett | I can already image what types of things you can find in a Rockpool… probably a DEAD BODY!
- Before You Sleep Three Horrors, Adam L. G. Nevill | Horror is my favorite genre.
- In the Dark Water, Lynne McEwan | A boat would be a great location for a murder!
- Behind You, Rylie Dark | No reason other than the cover.
While I did fully break the first rule of reading by judging every single one of these books by their covers, I feel confident in my selects! Stay tuned for reviews (and to find out which of these series I get sucked into buying).
Mark your calendars, next Stuff Your Kindle Day: Dec 27, 2023
