Living life to the fullest type of behavior.
Welcome to my blog. They call me MCK.
Midwesterner turned Arizonian (but currently living in Dallas). Vikings Fan for life. Former D1 Rower. Yogi. Morning Person. Love adventures. Really into smiling. World Traveler. Ex-Bikini Chick. One time marathon runner. Cage diving with sharks has been crossed off my bucket list. Love classic rock and country music. Love coffee.
I’ll be blogging about everything & anything. My favorite (& least favorite) recipes, travel advice, destination inspiration, health & fitness, technology, organization, life, and most importantly adventuring.

Here are the highlights
I was born in Pennsylvania. Had a brother born in Illinois. Another brother born in California. Eventually our family moved to Iowa where mom, dad, & both my brothers still currently live with an acre and half of land in the middle of the suburbs.
I went to the University of Iowa & graduated with a BS in Human Physiology 3 years later. I was a Division I varsity coxswain (on the women’s rowing team). I spent a lot of time in the gym & very little time attending lectures.
After deciding that I didn’t want to pursue a higher degree after graduation, I moved back home & fell in love with the world of health & fitness. I worked as a personal trainer. And I completed two (semi) successful NPC bikini competitions.
More than ready to leave Iowa, I moved to Arizona in 2018. I found a job as a personal trainer but quickly became burnt out. As a personal trainer I felt I was investing all my energy into people who, to put it bluntly, weren’t giving me the same energy/effort in return. I quit my job in Spring of 2018 and flew off to Europe. My first time traveling internationally.
A few weeks after my return to Arizona I received an offer to interview for an admin position for a marketing department. That position turned into Marketing Coordinator & then Junior Marketing Manager & then Marketing Manager & then Senior Marketing Manager with a focus in MarTech and Innovation. I moved to San Diego for 2 years for this job and most recently made the move with the company to Dallas.
Then I started this blog.
